Moshead

Moshead is a thrash metal band from Škofja Loka, Slovenia. Formed in 2011, the band quickly started to write their own music and released their first single, titled Evil, the following year. The band began playing shows extensively in Slovenia, sharing the stage with names such as Vicious Rumors, Nervosa, Within Destruction, Noctiferia… In 2017, they released their first full-length, titled Game of Knowledge. Additionally, a music video for the song Nocoj, pa oh, nocoj was filmed as a part of them winning the band show competition on national television of Slovenia, which spread their popularity to the general public. Moshead then managed to play shows on metal festivals, such as Metaldays, Cahnfest, and even toured abroad with Slovenians Inmate. 2024, the band is set to release their 2nd full-length and tour across Europe with Decair. In 2025, Moshead finally released their 2nd full-length album in a sold-out venue in Ljubljana and with that, they continue to present the album across Europe! Moshead are also defined by their live performances - fast, intense and energetic are words that best describe the usual shows. Lots of headbanging, coupled with mosh pits and occasional wall of death is the response they get from their audiences. With such concerts and music, they pay respects to early influences in thrash metal - The Big 4 and Bay Area thrash, but also Slovenian acts Negligence, Panikk and Metalsteel. Later on, the band adopted a more melodic and groove-oriented style from bands such as Lamb of God, Pantera and Sepultura. Now, their music is a blend of both, combining relentless thrash rhythms with melodic passages and break-downs.
